In January-February 2020, we distributed 4 wheelchairs and a limited amount of OTC items to elderly persons in West Coast Demerara and East Coast Demerara.
In March 2020, the Corona Virus Disease struck and our team became focused on making and sharing out masks, food hampers and other forms of assistance to communities in need.
As at May 20, 2020, we have distributed over 10,000 free masks to various communities as well as the Police.
At at August 2020, we have distributed over 50,000 hampers, 20,000 face masks, 5 wheelchairs, a quantity of pharmaceuticals, blood pressure kits, mattresses and exercise books to persons across the country. In addition, over 12,000lbs of Plantains, Cassava, Eddoes, and Sweet Potatoes to various communities.
Our hampers included flour, sugar, butter, oil, peas, channa, blackeye and other foodstuff including bread and biscuits. Areas for distribution included Sophia, Stanleytown, Kitty, Better Hope, North Vryheilds Lust, Bagotville, Enterprise
64 Village, 47 Village, Uitvlugt, Cummings Lodge, Industry, Ruimzeight, Canal #1.
A special donation was made to the National Tashoas Council for our Amerindian Peoples.
