Sandhya (Sanskrit/English)

ओं भूर्भुवः स्वः
तत्सवितुर्वरेण्यं भर्गो देवस्य धीमहि
धियो यो नः प्रचोदयात्1

Om bhoor-bhuvaḥ-svaḥ.
Tat savitur vareṇyam bhargo devasya dheemahi.
Dhiyo yo nah pracho-dayaat.

Aachamanam

Chant this mantra thrice, each time sipping water from the right palm (For each chant, take some water in the right palm and sip at the end of each chant.)

ओम्
शन्नो देवीरभिष्टय आपो भवन्तु पीतये
शंयोरभि श्रवन्तु नः2

Om Shanno deveer-abhiṣhṭaya3
aapo4 bhavantu peetaye.
Shanyor-abhi-shravantu nah.

देवी-्वरूप ईश्वर पूरण अभीष्ट कीजे।
यह ीर हो ुधामय कल्ाण दान-दीजे॥
ित ऋद्धि-िद्धि बरसे हित हो सदा हमारा।
बहती रहे हृदयमें सद्धर्म प्रेम-धारा॥

Devee svaroop eeshvar, pooraṇ abheeṣhṭ keeje,
Yah neer ho sudhaa-mai, kalyaan daan deeje
Nit ṛiddhi siddhi barse, hit ho sadaa hamaaraa
Bahtee rahe hridai me, saddharm prem dhaaraa.

May the All-Pervading Divine Mother be gracious unto us to satisfy our inner cravings and send down blessings all around us.

O Shan gracious, abhishtaya pleasant, aapah omnipresent deveee divine Mother (radiant One), bhavantu may shanyor blessings of peetaya contentment abhishravantu shower, flow to nah us.

शन् Gracious नः for us देवीः – Radiant One, devih, One who gives desired happiness, also, goddess, Divine Loved Mother अभिष्टये pleasant, (a desired happiness) आपः Omnipresent; also – water Ap one of the five panchabhootas भवन्तु may be, may become पीतये contentment शंयो blessings अभिश्रवन्तु may shower नः unto us
