प्राणेभ्यः साधिपतिकेभ्यः स्वाहा ॥

Praaṇebhyah saadhipatike-bhyah svaahaa.

That which is from the air and divinely created by God, be free.

पृथिव्यै स्वाहा ॥

Prathivyai svaahaa.

That which was from earth/dirt, be free.

अग्नये स्वाहा ॥

Agnaye svaahaa.

That which is from Fire, be free.

अन्तरिक्षाय स्वाहा ॥

Antarik-shaaya svaahaa.

That which is from the cosmos, be free.

वायवे स्वाहा ॥

Vaayave svaahaa.

That which is from Air, be free.

दिवे स्वाहा ॥

Dive svaahaa.

That which is from light, be free.

सूर्याय स्वाहा ॥

Sooryaaya svaahaa.¹

That which is from light, be free.

प्राण breath स together with अधिपति God एभ्यः to these पृथिव्यै earth and water अग्नये fire अन्तरिक्षाय atmosphere, space वायवे air दिवे light, celestial bodies सूर्याय energy

दिग्भ्यः स्वाहा ॥

Digbhyah svaahaa.

That which is for the pathways of life, be free.

चन्द्राय स्वाहा ॥

Chandraaya svaahaa.

That which is of Moon, be free.

नक्षत्रेभ्यः स्वाहा ॥

Nakshatrebhyah svaahaa.

That which is of other planets, be free.

अद्भ्यः स्वाहा ॥

Ad-bhyah svaahaa.

That which is of water, be free.

वरुणाय स्वाहा ॥

Varuṇaaya svaahaa.

That which is of the oceans, be free.

नाभ्यै स्वाहा ॥

Naabhyai svaahaa.

That which is of intentions and desire, be free.

पूताय स्वाहा॥

Pootaaya svaahaa.²

That which is of pure intentions, be free.

दिग्भ्यः of directions चन्द्राय of moon नक्षत्रेभ्यः of stars अद्भ्यः water वरुणाय air नाभ्यै desires, navel, middle पुताय in contact with

That which is of speech, be free.

That which is of hearing force, be free.

That which is hair, be free.

That which is of skin, be free.

That which is of blood, be free.

Madobhyah svaahaa.

That which is of mineral in the body, be free.

That which is of flesh, be free.

स्नावभ्यः स्वाहा ॥

Snaavabhyah svaahaa.

That which is of tendons, muscles, and sinews, be free.

That which is the purpose of nerves, be free.

अस्थभ्यः स्वाहा ॥

Astabhyah svaahaa.

That which is of tough muscles, be free.

अस्थभ्यः स्वाहा ॥

That which is of bones, be free.

मज्जभ्यः स्वाहा ॥

Majjabhyah svaahaa.

That which is of bone marrow, be free.

मज्जभ्यः स्वाहा ॥

Maj-jabhyah svaahaa.

The purpose of stem cells within the bone marrows, be free.

रेतसे स्वाहा ॥

Retase svaahaa.

That which is of bodily fluids, be free.

पायवे स्वाहा ॥

Paayave svaahaa.⁴

That which is of intestines, be free.

Praayaa-saaya svaahaa.

Endeavors be relinquished

संयासाय स्वाहा ॥

Sanyaa-saayaa svaahaa.

Actions and reactions are relinquished.

वियासाय स्वाहा ॥

Viyaasaaya svaahaa.

Forbearance and tolerance are relinquished.

उद्यसाय स्वाहा ॥

Udyasaaya svaahaa.

Dreams and aspirations are relinquished.

शुचे स्वाहा ॥

Shuche svaahaa.

Virtue be relinquished.

शोचते स्वाहा ॥

Shochate svaahaa.

Integrity and honesty are relinquished.

शोचमानाय स्वाहा ॥

Shocha-maanaa-ya svaahaa.

Mindfulness and purity of thoughts are relinquished.

शोकाय स्वाहा ॥

Shokaaya svaahaa.⁵

Sadness is relinquished

आयासाय effort, anxiety प्रायासाय activity, endeavour संयासाय action, reaction, exertion वियासाय forbearance, tolerance उद्यसाय aspirations शुचे virtue, benevolence शोचते integrity and honesty शोचमानाय mindfulness, purity of thoughts शोकाय sadness

तपसे स्वाहा ॥

Tapase svaahaa.

The practice of penance is relinquished.

तप्यते स्वाहा ॥

Tapyate svaahaa.

Knowledge of penance is relinquished.

तयमानाय स्वाहा ॥

Tapya-maanaaya svaahaa.

The honor and benefits gained from penance are relinquished.

तप्ताय स्वाहा ॥

Taptaaya svaahaa.

The desire for refinement is relinquished.

घर्माय स्वाहा ॥

Gharmaaya svaahaa.

Causing anxiety to anyone is relinquished.

निष्कृत्यै स्वाहा ॥

Niṣhkrityai svaahaa.

The need for restoration or separation is relinquished.

प्रायश्चत्यै स्वाहा ॥

Praayash-chityai svaahaa.

Atonement and regret are relinquished.

भेषजाय स्वाहा ॥

Bheṣha-jaaya svaahaa.⁶

The need for medicines is relinquished.

तपसे Practice of penance तप्यते Knowledge of penance तयमानाय honor and benefits gained from penance तप्ताय refinement घर्माय Causing anxiety निष्कृत्यै Need for restoration or separation प्रायश्चत्यै Atonement and regret भेषजाय Need for medicines

यमाय स्वाहा ॥

Yamaaya svaahaa.

The Yamas (self-restraint) is ended.

अन्तकाय स्वाहा ॥

Antakaaya svaahaa.

The final moments of life are ended.

मृत्यवे स्वाहा ॥

Mrityave svaahaa.

The connection to death is ended.

ब्रह्मणे स्वाहा ॥

Brahmaṇe svaahaa.

The creative forces are ended.

ब्रह्महत्यायै स्वाहा ॥

Brajma-hatyaayai svaahaa.

The non-creative energy is ended.

विश्वेभ्यो देवेभ्यः स्वाहा ॥

Vishvebhyo devebhyah svaahaa.

The connection to the world and the wise ones is ended.

द्यावापृथिवीभ्या स्वाहा ॥

Dhyaavaa-prithivee-bhyaam svaahaa.⁷

The connection with the atmosphere, air and earth is ended.
