Aaj mil sab geet gaavo
us prabhu ke dhanyavaad.
Jiskaa yash nit gaate hai,
gandharva munijan dhanyavaad.
Mandiro me kandaro me
parvato ke shikhar par.
Dete hai lagataar sou-sou
baar munivar dhanyavaad
Karte hai jangal me mangal
paksheegaṇ har shaakh par.
Paate hai aanand mil gaate
hai svarbhar dhanyavaad
Kooe me taalaab me
sindhu kee gahree dhaar me.
Prem-ras me tript ho
karte hai jalchar dhanyavaad
Shaadiyo me jalasayo me
yagya aur utsav ke aadi
Miṭhe svar se chaahiye kare
naaree nar sab dhanyavaad
Gaan kar amichand bhajan-
aanand eeshvar ki stuti
Dhyaan dhar sunte hai shrotaa
Kaan dhar-dhar dhanyavaad
We gather together today to sing our gratitude to God. His glory and fame is continuously being sung by all noble persons.
In the mandirs, caves, and mountain peaks –everywhere the wise persons sing praise and thanks to God.
Even in the forests, the birds sit on the trees and merrily and blissfully sing praises and thanks to God.
From the lakes, rivers, and the very depths of the oceans, the aquatic creatures sing God’s praises and give him thanks.
In the joyous marriage ceremonies and the deeply spiritual yajnas, we give thanks to God. So too when rising up from slumber we should thank God.
Through this song, I give my praise and thanks to God. All those who hear this offering of thanks should do so too.
