Agar Swaamee Dayaanand na
hamaaraa na khudaa hotaa
Na ham hote na tum hote
na kashtee kaa pataa hotaa
Tilak chhoṭee janeo ke
sabhee sapane liyaa kartaa
Yahaa eesaa kaa baptismaa
gale sabke paraa hota
Farishtaa ban ke ay swaamee
kahee se too chalaa aayaa
Hamaare haal par varnaa
falak bhee ro paṛaa hotaa
Samay par aapkee nazaro
jo na mujhko uṭhaa letee
Mai khud apnee hee nazaro me
yakeenan gir gayaa hotaa.
If Swami Dayananda had not been our guide, then nothing would have survived the Storm of time — not I, nor you, nor the Ship of our Culture and Religion.
Without SwamiJi, Janeo, tilak and Chotee would have been destroyed. Christian baptism would have overrun Hinduism and destroyed everything sacred.
You rose like an angel at the right time otherwise the world would have been weeping at our plight. Had you not inspired me, I would have lost my humanity.
