Ai mere jagdeesh baalak,
mai teraa anjan hoo
Gyaan ke bhanḍar me
bhoolaa huaa insaan hoo
Aap hee bandhoo sahaayak
aur pitaa maataa hai mere
Aapko prerak guru mai
maanataa bhagavaan hoo
Kaam krodh abhimaan se
khaataa hoo pag pag thokare
Man hee chanchalataa se bhagawan
mai baṛaa pareshaan hoo.
Shaanti se kalyaaṇ kee
varshaa karo mujh par sadaa
Bijalee chamkee gyaan kee
mai maangataa bardaan hoo
I am an innocent child of yours, O Universal One, knowing nothing and having forgotten the connection with your repository of knowledge.
You are my friend, sibling, mother, and father, you are my inspirational teacher in whom I firmly believe.
I stumble in every step of life from lust, anger, and pride and my mind is restless and very unstable.
Let your blessing of peace and well-being shower on me and let illuminating wisdom come to me, this is the blessing I seek.
