Dekhaa na ko-ee doojaa, Rishiwar mahaan jaisaa
lk or saaaree duniyaa, ik or wo akelaa
Kuchh paas me nahee thaa, chelee na ko-ee chelaa
Duniyaa ke har sitam ko, mardaan-gee se jhelaa
Hardam rahaa araa wo, parvat mahaan jaisaa
Dekhaa kisee kaa dukh to Rishiwar kee aakh ro-ee
Jag ke liye Rishi ne, raato kee neend kho-ee
Dekhe anek tyaagee, Rishiraaj saa na ko-ee
Dil thaa vishaal itnaa, hal aas-maan jaisaa
Rishi ne kahaa samaadhi, meree nahee banaanaa
Mere tan kaa raakh lekar, kheto me jaa giraanaa
Vedo ke path pe chalnaa, sansaar ko chalaanaa
Ban jaaye ‘Shyaam’ jeevan, Rishiwar mahaan jaisaa
Tune – Mai Kahee Kavi Na Ban Jaa – Rafi
I cannot see anyone that can compare to the greatness of the Maharishi.
The entire world stood on one side, and the Rishi stood alone. No one stood with him, he stood alone without any support. The whole world was suffering from the ego of the oppressors. He stood in the center of all challenges like a mountain, firm and strong.
The Maharishi was saddened to see the pain of his people and all of this time was spent in service to his people. This solitary figure is unique; there is none like him. His care for his people was as wide as the sky itself.
The Maharishi directed that his body, after death, be cremated and his ashes sprinkled to enrich the fields; no monuments be erected for him. His wish was for the world to live according to the Vedas and to encourage everyone to follow the Vedas.
