Gati jeev aatmaa kee

Gati jeev aatmaa kee koi samjhaaye
Kahaa se ye aaye kahaa lout jaaye

Kabhee iskaa aanaa jaanaa kisne na jaanaa
Kahaa kaa nivaasee hai ye kahaa hai thikaanaa
Kisee ko bhee koee apnaa pataa na bataaye

Prabhu ne hazaaro tohfe bana kar diye hai
Kudratee nazaare jag me iseeke liye hai
Inhe chhor kyo jaataa hai samajh na aaye

‘Pathik’ ye prabhoo kee maayaa prabhu jaantaa hai
Prabhu ke siwaa na koee pahichaantaa hai
Jo mahaa-shakti saare vishwa ko chalaaye

Who knows this swift-moving soul? Where did it come from and where is it going?

Who understands this coming and going? Who knows and determines the body in which a soul resides and its whereabouts therein? Who can even trace its movements?

Innumerable gifts are given by the Almighty, including all of nature and the ability to see/experience it all – all for our enjoyment. Yet the soul leaves it all. No one understands where it goes.

We see the majestic illusion of God, but only the Almighty understands it. Those who are in service of God recognize (pahichanta) that He is a great power, the creator of the world, and the Cause of everything being created.
