He dayamai ham sabo ko shuddhataaee deejeeye
Door karke har buraaee ko bhalaaee deejeeye
He ujaalaa sabke man me gyaan ke suprakaash se
Aur andhere door saaraa ho avidyaa-naash se
Khote karmo se bache aur tere guṇ gaaye sabhee
Chooṭ jaaye dukh saare sukh sadaa paayee sabhee
Saaree vidyaa-o ko seekhe gyaan se bharpoor ho
Shubh karmo me hove tatpar saare durguṇ door ho
Acchhee sangat me rahe aur ved-maarga par chale
Tere hee hove upaasak aur kukarma se bache.

O Merciful One, bestow purity upon us all. Take away every vice and give us goodness instead.
Let light shine in everyone’s mind through the radiance of learning, and let the darkness be consequently dispelled.
Let us be saved from evil deeds, and let us recount Your good qualities. Let all pain and misery vanish and let all attain joy.
Let everyone acquire various branches o knowledge and be adept, and let all be ever ready to do auspicious works, thereby eradicating all vicious qualities.
May we continually remain in virtuous company, follow the path of the Veda, and in Your constant worship, save ourselves from sin.
