Insaan nahee insaan rahaa
ban gayaa hai pashu saamaan, mere bhagavaan
Maanav maanavtaa kho baiṭhaa
na rahee apnee pehchaan, mere bhagavaan
Nitya karma kaa dhyaan nahee,
bare kaa aadar maan nahee
Raam-bharat aur shravaṇ jaise
deekhe ab santaan nahee
Ab maataa pitaa aur gurujano kaa,
hone lagaa apmaan, mere bhagavaan
Vedo kaa kuchh gyaan nahee
kahte hai bhagavaan nahee
Sandhyaa-havan de prem nahee aur
subh karmo me daan nahee
Bas ek hee naaraa rah gayaa hai,
roṭee-kapṛaa aur makaan, mere bhagavaan
Mandir me nahee aate hai,
cinemaa roz hee jaate hai
Anḍe-machlee-maas hai khaate
whiskey khoob uṛaate hai
Yuvko kee aisee dekh dashaa
hotaa hai dukh mahaan, mere bhagavaan
Dvaar tere jo aataa hai
muh-maangaa phal paaṭaa hai
Maanav-maanav ban jaaye
nandlaal yahee ab chaahtaa hai
Vinatee hai aapase ek yahee,
insaan bane insaan, mere bhagavaan
Humans are becoming like animals O my Lord. Humanity has lost its human-like values and identity and is unrecognizable now.
Today we have lost the value of performing selfless noble actions, we have lost the ability to be respectful to our parents, elders, and teachers. There are no more Raam, Bharat, or Shatrughn – children who are respectful to their parents.
Today we deny the wisdom of the Vedas, we even deny the existence of God. Today we have forgotten the devotion contained in our Sandhya and Havan and alas, we see no good in being charitable. Everything in this modern world revolves around food, ornaments, and houses.
In these modern times, we have given up worship but we frequently view movies, abandon a good diet and instead take meat and alcohol. Seeing our youths in such a condition brings great sorrow.
Those who come begging at our doors for fruits get beaten. Humans become full of desires. O humans, I beg one thing of you: O humans, please be human.
इन्सान human, people नहीं not बन गया has gone पशु animal समान similar मेरे भगवान् my lord, मानव humans मानवता humanity खो बैठा got lost अपनी own पहचान identity नित्य eternal, ancient कर्म work ध्यान नहीं no attention बड़े का of elders आदर-मान respect राम-भरत और श्रवण raam, bharat and shatrughn जैसे like दीखे अब now सन्तान children अब now माता पिता parents और and गुरुजनों teachers होने having लगा put अपमान insult वेदो Vedas कुछ some ज्ञान wisdom नहीं not कहते say भगवान नहीं no God, संध्या-हवन Sandhya and havan प्रेम नहीं no love और and शुभ good कर्मो actions में in दान charity बस एक just one नारा slogan रह गया prevail रोटी-कपड़ा food, clothing और and मकान,house मंदिर mandir नहीं आते not come सिनेमा cinema रोज़ everyday अंडे egg मछली fish मॉस meat खाते eat विस्की Whiskey खूब plenty उड़ाते fly, blowingup युवकों youth देख see दशा condition दुःख महान great sorrow द्वार door तेरे your जो आता whoever comes मुँह-माँगा begged फल fruits पाटा been beaten मानव humans बन जाए become नंदलाल (the poet, the singer) यही thisअब now चाहता wanted विनती beg आपसे एक यही this one from you इन्सान बने इन्सान human be human
