toot gayaa patwaar
Naav puraanee jhaanjhari ho ga-ee,
kshan me dooban haar
Bailee haath gaho karunaakar,
paar karo kartaar
Dear Lord, please take hold of my life. Guide me across this ocean of life, O Savior.
Sins and temptations pull me to all sides, O God I am caught midstream, unsure where to go. My mind is only interested in illusion and is caught in the five vices (desire, anger, greed, lust, ego). Being so entangled has caused me to loosen my faith in You. O Master, you are the all-seeing one. Save me.
So many times I have faltered that I approach old age in despair. My strength and willpower to steer myself to the proper course of life is gone and broken. I am now sinking with sorrow and despair. Please extend your strong and healing hands of Master. Be compassionate, O Creator.
