Kaun see hai voh cheez jo

Kaun see hai voh cheez jo
yahȧȧ nahėė miltee
Sab kuch mil jaataa hai lekin haa
maa nahėė miltee

Yaad kisee ho to aisee baat sunaaye
Jisme kabhee naa kabhee maa kaa naam na aaye
Duniyaa me koee aisee dastaan nahėė miltee
Sab kuch mil jaataa hai lekin haa maa nahėė miltee

Jinkee maa hotee hai khush kismat hote hȧi
Jinkee maa nahėė hotee jeevan bhar rote hȧi
Jisma unhe milte hȧi lekin jaa nahėė miltee
Sab kuch mil jaataa hai lekin haa maa nahėė miltee

Mandiir pe bhee aaye man kuch rahee nahėė rukte
Eeshvar ke aage bhee, kitne sar nahėė jhukte
Mȧȧ ko jo na maane vo, zubaa nahėė miltee
Sab kuch mil jaataa hai lekin haa maa nahėė miltee

In this world, a person, with the right amount of effort, can acquire almost anything they want. There is, however, one thing that he does easily acquire — and that is the love of a Mother.

Can anyone remember and tell us a story in which Mother’s name does not appear? No, in the whole world, we do not find such a story.

People who still have their mothers are very fortunate. Children cry bitterly all life when they lose their mothers. Such motherless children have bodies that are bereft of the desire to truly live.

Oh my mind! Some people refuse to acknowledge the value of praying in Mandirs. Some other people see no importance in bowing down to God. But there is hardly anyone in this world whose voice will fail to acknowledge Mother and her love.

Jaise Ko Taisa (1973); Singer: Kishore Kumar, Lata Mangeshkar
