Maa hai mohabbat ka naam

“Mother” is the name for love, thousands of salutations to Mother. A mother is always ready to sacrifice her life for her children.

Mother gladly suffers sorrow, and does not accept defeat. She nurtures the world, by practicing self-denial. She always satiates hunger, she always quenches thirst, and she always squanders love, without demanding any costs or price.

To touch her feet is the glory of the world! Whatever we achieve is the gift of motherly love! Mother cultivates the garden, Mother causes the flower to bloom, Mother bears the misery, be-stows all the joys.

Even empty-handed; a mother will be a mother, whatever the caste be! Under the shade of motherly affection, she kindles thousands of lamps. She had tenderly nurtured in her lap; sages and religious leaders.
