Tere dar ko chhoṛkar
Kis dar jaaoȯ mȧi
Suntaa meree kaun hai
Kis sunaaoo mȧi
Jab se yaad bhulaaee teree
Lakhȯ kaṣhṭa uṭhaae hai
Kyaa jaanoȯ is jeevan andar
Kitne paap kamaaye hai
Hoȯ sharmindaa aapse
Kyaa batlaaoȯ mȧi
Mere paap karm hee tujhse preetee
Naa karne dete hai
Kabhee jo chaahoo miloo aapse
Roke mujhe ye lere hȧi
Kaise svaamee aapke
Darshan paaoo mȧi
Hai too naath bharosaa kaa daataa
Tujhse sab var paate hȧi
Riṣhi muni aur yogee saare
Tere hee guṇ gaate hai
Chintaa de do gyaan kaa
Hosh mė aaoo mȧi
Jo beeṭee so beeṭee lekin
Baakee umar sambhaaloo mȧi
Charaṇȯ mė jo baiṭh aapke
Geet prem ke gaaloo mȧi
Jeevan pyaar “dash” kaa
Saphal banaaoo mȧi
O Almighty Lord, where can I go? Who will listen to me? To whom can I pour my heart? You are the only one I can come to.
I have suffered innumerable problems and troubles. My sins are too many to count. And, worse yet is the sad truth that I even forgot about you, O Almighty. I am so ashamed to relate these atrocities.
My attachment to my sinful habits has prevented me from loving you and adoring you. My sins did not allow me to commune with you. O Lord, how can I now be blessed with a vision of you?
O Almighty One, you are the giver of bliss and happiness. All of the great sages and rishis sing your glory. I have lost my original divine consciousness of you. Please sprinkle your cool awakening unto me so that I can regain that consciousness.
Whatever is lost is already lost. I know that I have to reap the fruits of the action I already committed, but, Lord, inspire me that I may take good care of the rest of my life. Let me sit at your glorious feet and sing songs of love and devotion to you. Let me (this singer, and writer) make my offering of love and devotion to you.
