काम क्रोध और लोभ का मारा
जगत ना आया राश
जब जब राम ने जनम लिया
तब तब पाया बैनबस
कलियुग तक चलती आयी हैं, सतयुग की ये रीत
सब कुछ हर चुके हो अपना, तब राम की हो जीत
युग बदले जाग बदला, पर बादल ना पाया ये इतिहास
छोड़ के अपने महल दोमाहले, जंगल जंगल फिरना
ओरो के सुख चैन की खातिर, दुख संकत मे गिरना
हैं यही राम के लेख की रेखा, आ गया अब विश्वास
राम हर एक युग मे आये, पर कों उन्हे पहचाना
राम की पूजा की जाग ने, पर राम का अर्थ ना जाना
तकते तकते बूढ़े हो गये, धरी और आकाश
This world is so afflicted with lust, anger, and greed, that it can never be a place of harmony. A virtuous soul will always have to suffer humiliation once he is born in this world. Shri Raam was one virtuous soul who was sentenced to exile by a scheming world.
Truth, however, ultimately triumphs. When we have tried all our evil designs, it is Truth that ultimately survives. This Tradition of Truth started in Satyug and continued throughout the Ages, ending in Kaliyug. The Ages have changed, but this Tradition hasn’t changed.
Look at Raam’s example. He left his Royal Palaces and walked bare feet in several thorn-filled miles of jungle. He endured pain for the happiness of others. This was his allotment, but he ultimately survived because he championed Truth.
Virtuous souls like Raam are born in every age, but we fail to recognize them. People worship Raam but fail to understand Raam. We get older day after day as we stare at the Earth and Sky every day of our lives, and still, we fail to recognize that virtuous souls are made to suffer humiliation for Truth in a world so stricken by lust, anger, and greed.
