जिस धन पर मान करे तू, औ बन्दे
न साथ तेरे है जाना, न इसने पार लगाना
झूठ फरेब से करें इकठी करता मारी मार
धर्म के धन को छोर करे तू, झूठे धन से प्यार
नहीं काम तेरे यह आना, औ बन्दे
महल माड़िया और कबीला काम न आएगा
अन्त समय इक धर्म ही केवल साथ निभाएगा
पीछे न फिर पछताना, औ बन्दे
धन का कमाना अच्छा है पर धर्मानुसार कमा
भूखे नंगे की कर सेवा इसे बाट कर खा
न समझ किसे बेगाना, औ बन्दे
देश धर्म पर लगे तेरा धन भामाशाह बन जा
नन्दलाल धन दिया प्रभु ने इसको सफल बना
शोभा फिर करे ज़माना, औ बन्दे
O friend, this wealth that you have so much pride in, it neither goes with you, nor passes you over life.
Wealth accumulates with false intent, hoaxes, and lies, and in the process, corrupts and kills oneself because our wealth becomes our religion and our lives and love is attached to this false wealth. No honest work attracts us anymore.
Wealth and possession become our family and the focus of our work. However, at the end of life, only one dharma will accompany us, not the false wealth.
Let us put our efforts towards a righteous lifestyle and honest earnings. Let us serve the hungry and needy. Let us share what we have without trying to question those who beg.
Let our righteous duty inspire us to spend our wealth for our country and for a good cause. Become like Bhamaasaah, the historical leader who was patriotic, kind, and charitable. Beautify your life with your good lifestyle as you get older.
