देखो ऐ दीवानो

देखो ऐ दीवानो, तुम ये काम ना करो
राम का नाम बदनाम ना करो

राम ने हँस कर सब सुख त्यागे, तुम सब दुख से डर कर भागे
कृष्ण ने कर्म की रीत सिखाई
तुमने फ़र्ज़ से आँख चुराई, ओ राम दुहाई
हरे कृष्णा हरे राम
जीवन नाम है काम का, आराम ना करो
राम का नाम बदनाम ना करो, बदनाम ना करो

राम को समझो, कृष्ण को जानो, नींद से जागो ओ मस्तानो
जीत लो मन को पढ़ के गीता
मन ही हारा तो क्या जीता, तो क्या जीता
हरे कृष्णा हरे राम
जीवन को नशे का तुम गुलाम ना करो
राम का नाम बदनाम ना करो, बदनाम ना करो

O Man, do not perform undesirable actions. Do not engage in activities that will disgrace the name of God.

Lord Rama had laughingly given up worldly possessions, yet we run away from problems (and are attached to our possessions). Bhagwan Krishna taught us the path of noble actions – but we run away from good activities. Life is filled with many types of activities, therefore, O man, engage in good activity. Do not perform actions that would be ungodly.

Understand Lord Rama, know Lord Krishna. Wake up from your drunken sleep. Cleanse your mind with the knowledge of the Gita. Do not become a slave for pleasures – or else you can lose everything.
