O Glorious One, by singing Your name, we are able to rid ourselves of sorrows and fear. O Lord, O Sri Raam, your countenance is like the cosmos (unseen, but appear to be blue, like the skies; your very form is illusionary, O Lord).

Lord, you seem to be in yellow robes (the color signifying the color of the rising sun). You are the repository of beauty and bliss – as having been represented in the story of Raam and Sita (Janak’s princess).

You are known as the Glorious Son of Kaushalya and Dasrata. You are the source of love and bliss. You reach out to everyone with love and you assist everyone by destroying hurdles in their path in life. Salutations to You O Giver of Joy, O Protector.

We recognize you as the force behind the destruction of demonic forces (like in the story of Ramayana and the destruction by Lord Raam of Khara and Dushan). Your head is adorned with precious gems and your strength is unparalleled.

All the wise ones sing your Glory, O Lord (Tulsidas says so in the Ramayan). O Lord, O Raam, we endeavor to place You firmly in our hearts. Do rid us of sorrows, pain, poverty, and fears. Bliss us, o Protector.
