हे रामचंद्र कह गए सिया से ऐसा कलयुग आएगा
हंस चुगेगा दाना-दुनका, कौआ मोती खाएगा
सिया पूछे, भगवन कलयुग में धर्म कर्म को कोई नहीं मानेगा? तो प्रभु बोले
धरम भी होगा, करम भी होगा, परन्तु शर्म नहीं होगी
बात-बात में मात-पिता को बेटा आँख दिखाएगा
राजा और प्रजा दोनों में होगी निसदिन खींचा-तानी, खींचा-तानी
कदम-कदम पर करेंगे दोनों अपनी-अपनी मनमानी, मनमानी
जिसके हाथ में होगी लाठी, भैंस वही ले जाएगा
सुनो सिया कलयुग में काला धन और काले मन होंगे, मन होंगे
चोर उचक्के, नगरसेठ और प्रभु-भक्त निर्धन होंगे, निर्धन होंगे
जो भी होगा लोभी-भोगी वो जोगी कहलायेगा
मंदिर सूना-सूना होगा, भरी रहेंगी मधुशाला, हो मधुशाला
पिता के संग-संग भरी सभा में नाचेंगी घर की बाला, घर की बाला
कैसा कन्यादान पिताही, कन्या का दान खा जाएगा
Lord Raam spoke of the state of the world in the age of Kaliyuga. He predicted that things will become opposite to what is good and righteous, for example, the pearl-like swans will eat waste matter and the flesh-eating crows will eat pure items.
Asked to expound further on whether righteous action will matter in Kaliyug. Lord Raama responded thus:
There will be righteous living and righteous actions, however, many will be shameless in their lifestyle. Every comment and advice from mother and father will be met with ridicule from their children.
The relationship between rulers/leaders and the people will deteriorate continuously. Every bit of advancement will become dragged out into dictatorship and arbitrary decisions because the power will be in the hands of those who are supposed to serve instead of in the people’s hands.
In these dark ages, the pursuit of wealth will blind everyone. The thieves will be treated as though they are saints while the saints will be outcasts.
The places of worship will become empty while rum shops will be full. Fathers will stop honoring and protecting their children (for holy matrimony) and will instead be guilty of abuse.
