Akhiyaa hari darshan ki pyaasi,
Dekhyo chaahat kamal nayan ko,
nisdin rehet udaasi.
Kesar tilak motin ki mala,
vrindavan ke vaasi,
neh lagaaye tyaag gaye trinsam,
daal gye gal phaansi
Kaahu ke man ki ko jaanat,
logan ke man haasi,
surdas prabhu tumhre daras bin,
leho karwat kashi
My eyes thirst for a vision of the beautiful lotus-eyed Lord.
He wears lovely adornments (tilak etc.) and dwelling in the village of Vrindavan (in the village of our hearts). He gave us His love and let us be free. He is manifest in everything even in an insignificant leaf. Yet we are trapped by His love.
No one knows the mind of another person, yet in everyone’s mind, there is joy (because God resides within everyone). By becoming bound in God’s love, one sheds all the painful bonds of the world..
