Mangal kaaree naama he unka, vo hai shakti daataa
Bhavasaagar se tar jaaye vo, jo Shiva naam he gaataa
Moh maayaa se man ko chuṛaaye, Shiva Shankar Kailaashpati
Let the sounds of the damru drums reverberate the names of Shiva. Age after age that light Divine has been and forever shall be the only luminescence of this universe.
That Auspicious one whose head is decorated with the moon and who hold in control the venomous serpent as His garland, whose body vibrates with the sounds of creation and who is the auspicious protector of the universe. When called upon, all sorrows are removed from the lives of his devotees.
From his matted locks flows the sacred Ganga, cleansing and purifying the world for which all 1ive and Mother Earth are thirsty. Thus the sacred mother Ganga satisfies our thirst.
Your hands 0 Lord are the auspicious Bestower of all bliss and happiness, thus you are called Mangal paani, the Bestower of all auspicious. Those who simply chant Your name, cross this ocean of mundane existence without difficulties. Therefore, 0 Man, cleanse your minds from all impurities such as delusions and hypocrisy and sing the name Shiva Shankar.
