Dayaalu dayaa kar, dayaa kar, dayaa kar
Sadaa achhee sangat mè rahane kaa do var
Mujhe jaagate sote ho dhyaan teraa
Viṣhai-vaasaanaa mè fase man meraa
Teraa jaap karane se man ho ekagar
Sachaaee kee khaatir mai ang-ang kaṭaaòò
Aaye mrityu to bhee prabhu muskuraaòò
Dharma desh ke kaam aaye meraa sar
Mere man ke mandir mè prakaash kar do
Avidyaa andhkaar kaa naash kar do
Niyam kartaa nandlaal mastak jhukaakar
O Merciful One, have mercy on me and fill the cup of my mind with the nectar of love.
May I perform Havan and Sandhya (Meditation on the Lord) regularly, so that I can live and die for the principles of Dharma. Let me be always established in the desire to serve others.
Let my thoughts, words and deeds be in harmony, and my devotion to the Vedic dharma be steadfast. Bless me that I may always remain in righteous company.
Let me think of you in moments of being awake and asleep so that my mind may not be inclined to sin. And out of this contemplation on you, may my mind be one-pointed.
May I be inspired to even offer my life for truth – and when faced with death, may I always smile with the thought That I am but becoming a martyr in the cause of my Religion and country.
Illuminate the temple of my heart by destroying all traces of the darkness of ignorance. For this blessing, I always bow my head in adoration and gratitude.
