Do din kaa jag me melaa

Chalti chakkee dekh ke, diyaa kabeer roi
Do paatan ke beech me, saabut bachaa naa koi

Do din kaa jag me melaa,
sab chalaa chalee kaa khelaa

Koee chalaa gayaa koee jaave
Koee gaṭharee baandh sidhaave
Koee kharaa taiyyaar akelaa,
sab chalaa chalee ka khelaa

Maat pitaa sut naaree bhaaee
ant sahaayak naahee
Phir kyo bhartaa paap kaa ṭhelaa re

Ye to nashvar sansaara
bhajan ko karle eesh kaa pyaaraa
Brahmaaanand kahe sun chelaa re

Looking at how we are caught between the crushing of (stones of life), Kabir weeps at the futility that perishes under such an illusion.

This world is like a very short mela (fair/concert) in which we come, meet, and then depart.

Some are coming, some are going, some are getting ready to go while some stand all alone, ready for the journey.

Mother, father, siblings, friends all, no one accompanies us at the end. The soul flies away alone like a swan.

All are caught in the throes of (fear of) death. meditate of the Giver of Peace and Bliss and be blessed.
