Jag me sundar hai do naam
Chaahe Krishna kaho yaa Raam
Bolo Raam, Raam, Raam
Bolo Shyaam, Shyaam, Shyaam
Maakhan brij mein ek churaave
Ek ber bhilnee ke khaave
Prembhaav se bhare anokhe
Dono ke hai kaam
Ek Kans paapi ko maare
Ek dusht Raavan samhaare
Dono deen ke dukh harat hai
Dono bal ke dhaam
Ek Radhika ke sang raaje
Ek Jaanakee sang biraaje
Chaahe Sita-Raam kaho
Yaa Bolo Radhe-Shyaam
Ek hriday me prem badhaave,
Ek taap santaap mitaave,
Dono sukh ke saagar hai
Aur dono pooran kaam
Donò hai ghat-ghat ke vaasee,
dono hai aanand prakaashee
Vindu sadaa govinda bhajan se,
miltaa hai vishraam
There are two beautiful names in the world: Raam and Krishna. Both refer to God. Chant Raam, chant Krishna.
One took in curds and the other took honey (bhilni). With love and devoutness, both did their work.
One killed the sinner Kansa while the other killed Ravana. Both were strong and both opened the door of freedom and happiness for the world.
One was the companion of Radha, the other of Janki. If you say Sita-Ram or Radhe-Shyam – both are the same.
One increases love in our hearts, while the other rids us of sins and impure thoughts. Both are oceans of happiness and both are perfect.
Both represent happiness and wisdom (light). Meditate on them and get peace of mind.
