Jaise suraj kee garmee se Jalte huye tan ko
Mil jaaye taruvar kee chhaayaa
Aisaa hee sukh mere man ko milaa hai,
Mài jabse sharaǹ teree aayaa, mere raam
Bhatkaa huaa meraa, man tha koi, mil naa rahaa thaa sahaaraa
Lehrò se laṛati, huyee naav ko, Jaise mil naa rahaa ho kinaaraa,
Us laṛakhaṛatee huee naav ko jo, Kisee ne kinaaraa dikhaayaa
Sheetal bane aag chandan ke jaisee, Raaghav kripaa ho jo teree
Ujiyaalee poonam kee ho jaaye raate, Jo thee amaavas andheree
Yug yug se pyaasi maroobhoomi ne, Jaise saavan kaa sandesh paayaa
Jis raah kee manzil teraa milan ho, Us par kadam mài baṛhaaoo
Phoolò mè kharo mè patajhaṛ baharo mè, Mài na kabhee ḍagamagaaoo
Panee kee pyase ko taqdeer ne jaise jee bhar ke amrit pilaayaa
As a body burning in the sun’s heat, gets shade of a tree, the same comfort my mind has got, from when I came in your refuge, My Ram.
My mind was wavering; It was not getting any support; A boat fighting with waves; Is not finding the bank; As somebody guides that, unsteady boat to the bank, the same comfort my mind has got, from when I came in your refuge, My Ram.
Fire becomes cool like sandalwood, Raghav, when you shower your blessings, Those nights glow like full moon, Which were dark as the new moon, As a desert, thirsty for eras, Gets the message of the rainy season, The same comfort my mind has got, From when I came in your refuge, My Ram.
That path on which you will be met, Let me take steps on that, In flowers, in thorns, in dry and in rain-Let me never waver, As somebody thirsty of water was fed Nectar to heart’s content by fate, The same comfort my mind has got, From when I came in your refuge, My Ram.
जैसे like the सूरज की गर्मी intense sun’s heat जलत burning तन body मिल gets, meets जाए तरुवर (तरवर) tree छाया shade, shadow ऐसा ही like that सुख happiness मेरे मन my mind जबसे since शरण refuge तेरी your आया come मेरे राम My Rama, lord भटका stray सहारा support लहरों waves लड़ती fights नाव boat किनारा bank, shore, उस that लड़खड़ाती faltering दिखाया shown, exhibit शीतल cold, soft बने become आग fire चंदन sandalwood राघव God कृपा blessing, mercy, favourउजियाली light पूनम full moon राते night अमावस full moon अंधेरी dark युग युग से प्यासी thirsty through the ages मरुभूमि desert सावन rain संदेस message पाया got जिस राह way, path मंज़िल destination कदम step बढ़ाऊ extend फूलों flowers में खरो in real पतझड़ autumn बहारों spring कभी sometime डगमगाउ wobble, simmering पानी water प्यासे thirsty तक़दीर destiny अमृत nectar पिलाया drink
