Kadam kadam baṛhaaye jaa

Kadam kadam baṛhaaye jaa
Khushee ke geet gaaye jaa
Yeh zindagee hai quam kee
Too quam pe looṭaaye jaa

Tu sher-e-hind aage baṛh
Marne se too kabhee naa ḍar
Uṛaake dushmano kaa sar
Josh-e-vatan barhaaye ja

Teree himmat baṛhti rahe
Khudaa teree suntaa rahe
Jo saamne tere Khaṛe
Tu khaank me milaaye ja

Chalo Dillee pukaar ke
gam-e-nishan sambhaal ke
Laal kile pe gaaṛ ke
Lahraaye jaa, lahraaye jaa

March, March on forward. Sing songs of happiness as you go. This life belongs to our motherland. Lay it down for the motherland.

You are the tiger of India! Never fear death. Blow away the enemy’s head. Raise the spirits of your comrades.

For Delhi be your battle call. Hold your flag high. Plant it on the Lal Quila (Red Fort). Let it fly, let it fly.

Lyricist: Pt. Vanshidhar Shukla; Composer: Ram Singh Thakuri. This was the regimental quick march of Subhas Chandra Bose’s Indian National Army. It was deemed ‘seditious’ and banned after World War II until 1947,  It is the current regimental quick march of the Indian Army.
