Le lo le lo duaayė mȧȧ baap kee
Sar se utaregee gaṭharee paap kee
Goad mė mȧȧ kee ȧȧkh khulee
Jag dekhaa baap ke kandhe chaṛh ke
Sevaa baṛi na hogee koee
In dono kee sevaa se baṛhake
Dukh sahanaa mȧȧ baap kee khaatir
Farz to hai ehsaan nahėė
Karz hai inkaa tere sar par
Bhikshaa yaa koee daan nahėė
Maat pitaa ki charaṇ chhue jo
Chaar dhaam teerath phal paae
Jo aashish ye dil se dė
bhagavaan se bhee ṭaalee naa jaae
Take the blessings of your parents. In this way, you relieve yourself of sins.
It was in the lap of your Mother that you opened your eyes to the world. It was on the shoulders of your father that you saw the reality of the world. So, remember this and know that the greatest thing you can do is to give service to your parents.
It is your duty to serve your parents, even if in so doing, you are inconvenienced. This is your duty. It is not a gift or kindness, but a duty.
By touching the feet of your parents, you shall realize the fruits of life. The blessings of your parents is the blessing of God.
ले take दुआएं blessings माँ-बाप parents सर से from the head उतरेगी come off, descend गठरी पाप bundle of sin गोद lap आँख eyes खुली open जग world देखा see बाप father कंधे shoulders चढ़ climbed सेवा service बड़ी big, great होगी will be इन दोनों these two बढ़के increased दुख suffering, sadness सहना tolerate, accept ख़ातिर for the sake of फ़र्ज़ duty एहसान नहीं not a favor कर्ज़ debt तेरे सर पर on your head भिक्षा alms दान charity चरण छुए touched the feet चार धाम four pilgrimage sites तीरथ pilgrimage फल पाए bear fruit आशीष blessings टाली ना जाए not postpone
