Maanav too kyȯ dhoye phirtaa
paapo kee gaṭhariyaa
Viṣhai vikaaro mė phas karke
khoye kyȯ umariyaa
Bare bhaag maanush tan paayaa
kyaa tumko maatoom naheė
Prabhu bhajan mė man naheė lage
kyaa ye teree bhool naheė
Ro ro toone saaree khoḍdee
jeevan kee umariyaa
Kaam krodh aru Iobh mė phaske
kyȯ jeevan barbaad kiyaa
Sukh me sumiraa naam na uskaa
dukh me toone yaad kiyaa
Is Iiye too kaaṭ rahaa hat
janma maran chakariyaa
Om naam ko japle bande
jeevan saphal banaa le too
Gar eeshwar ko toone paanaa
man mandir me paale too
Maanav yoȯ hee beet na jaaye
jeevan kee ḍagariyaa
O Man, why do you carry all around a bundle of sins? Why do you waste this precious life by allowing yourself to be trapped in worldly things for your entire life?
Realize how fortunate you are to be granted this human existence. All the accumulation of unknown sins and wasteful habits needlessly takes over the mind and makes us spend time on actions that we regret and we end up wasting our lifetime.
Why spend our entire lives in the entrapment of lust, anger, and greed? You do not think of God in your memorable and pleasurable moments, but you call out his name in sorrow. In these lifetimes of entanglements, we are forever caught in the cycle of birth and death.
By remembering and chanting God’s name, we can achieve a superior form of success in life. Worship him constantly in the temple of your mind in this journey of life and give divine purpose to your life.
मानव human क्यों why ढोये फिरता carry around पापों गठरियाँ bundle of sins विषय विकारो worldly desires फस करके trapped खोए lost उमरिय age, time बड़े great भाग्य fortune मानुष human तन body पाया found, got मालूम नहीं unknown प्रभु भजन god’s worship मन लगे engage the mind भूल नहीं do not forget रो रो crying सारी खोडी all discomfort, reckless behavior जीवन life उमरिया age काम lust क्रोध anger लोभ greed फसके trap, stuck जीवन life बर्बाद किया ruined, wasted सुख happiness सुमिरा memorable, celebrated नाम न उसका you not (call) name दुःख sorrow याद किया remembering काट रहा है being caught in जन्मा birth मरण death चकरिया affair, relationship ओम नाम God’s name जपले chanting बन्दे people, man सफल success गर if ईश्वर God तूने you पाना get मन मंदिर mind’s temple पाले nurture जीवन की डगरिया road, path
