Lochan man me jagah na ho to
Jugal charaṇ me le lo ram
Jeevan deke jaal bichhaayaa
Rach ke maayaa naach nachaayaa
Chintaa meree tabhee miṭegee
Jab chintan me le lo raam
Too ne laakho paapee taare
Meree baaree baazee haare, baazee haare
Mere paas na puṇya kee poojee
Pad poojan me le lo raam
Raam he Raam, Raam he Raam
Dar dar bhaṭkoo ghar ghar aṭakoo
Kahaa kahaa apnaa sar phaṭkoo
Is jeevan me milo na tum to
Mujhe maraṇ me le lo Raam
Please give me your shelter, O Raam. Brighten my eyes by giving me a glimpse of you O Lord. Please let me serve only you O Lord.
The material world has wrapped me in its illusionary web and all life I danced to this tune (of Maya). My problems will only end when you let me think of you always (take control of my life).
You have delivered thousands of sinners. Now it is my turn, I would be lost without you. I do not have a treasure trove of previous god deeds, but please allow me to serve you, to worship you O Lord.
I search of you, I roam from house to house, door to door. Where can I find you? (How far should I go? Where shall I put my heart?). If I do not find you during my lifetime, Lord, please do take care of me when I die.
