Samai suhaana ban mastaanaa
guṇ eeshvar ke gaana
Man roopee mandir ke andar
jeevan jyot jagaanaa
Param pitaa se pyaar kar
shuddh aachaar vichaar kar
Indriyo ko vash mė kar ke
man apne ko maar kar
Yam-niyam kaa paalan kar ke
mukti pad ko paanaa
Nirdhan ko na kabhee sattaa
duniyaa ke dukh dard miṭaa
Heeraa janam amolak teraa
miṭṭee me na ise milaa
Sukho kaa bhanḍaar vahee hai
sharaṇ usee kee aanaa
Nandlaal na use bhoolaa
jeevan vedaanusaar banaa
Sandhyaa satsang vedpaaṭh kar
aatmaa apnee shuddh banaa
Bhaiee bandhu beṭa patnee
sang kise hai jaanaa
Time is very precious. Waste it not, O man. Become intoxicated with the singing of God’s praises. In your mind’s temple, kindle God’s devotion.
Develop love for God. Develop good habits. Control your mind and your organs. Obey the laws of God and you will make your emancipation right.
Do not add suffering to the poor. Your birth as is human is like a diamond (gift), why mix it with dirt (of bad habits). O man, God is the storehouse of happiness. Come to him for protection.
Do not forget these instructions, O Man. Live according to the Vedas. Do your Sandhya and commune with God. Keep good company, read the Veda and in so doing, make your soul pure. O man, your brother, son, or wife – none will go with you. Do not be attached.
