O, my friend! I will never break my friendship with you. My life may come to an end but I will not abandon you.
My victory will be yours, and your defeat will be mine. Your sorrow will be mine, and my life will be yours. Such will be our love for each other that we will stake our lives and court enmity with others.
People will see two bodies, but we will not be two. O God! May we not be separated from, or annoyed with, each other. All life we will eat and drink together, and live and die together.
