चंदा को ढूँढने सभी तारे निकल पड़े
गलियों में वो नसीब के मारे निकल पड़े
उनकी नज़र का जिस ने नज़ारा चुरा लिया
उनके दिलों का जिस ने सहारा चुरा लिया
उस चोर की तलाश में सारे निकल पड़े
ग़म की अंधेरी रात में जलना पड़ा उन्हें
फूलों के बदले काँटों पे चलना पड़ा उन्हें
धरती पे जब गगन के दुलारे निकल पड़े
उनकी पुकार सुन के यह दिल डगमगा गया
हम को भी कोई बिछड़ा हुआ याद आ गया
भर आई आँख आँसू हमारे निकल पड़े
All of the stars emerge to find the moon (the large nighttime source of light). In the open streets, one may run out of luck (in search of such light).
Everyone will search for the one who robbed them of their vision/light and for the one who stole their emotional support. Everyone will see those who remove support from those who depend on them.
By removing such support, they bear the sorrow of the nights and walk a painful pathway of thorns instead of flowers. Even the skies come to earth to cover and embrace such needy ones.
One’s heart trembles when listening to such calls and the memory of separation returns. Tears flow in anticipation of a return home.
