राम नाम सोहि जानिये,
जो रमता सकल जहान
घट घट में जो रम रहा,
उसको राम पहचान
तेरा रामजी करेंगे बेड़ा पार,
उदासी मन काहे को करे
नैया तेरी राम हवाले
लहर लहर हरि आप सँभाले
हरि आप ही उठावे तेरा भार
उदास मन काहे को करे ॥
काबू में मँझधार उसी के
हाथों में पतवार उसी के
तेरी हार भी नहीं है तेरी हार
उदासी मन काहे को करे
सहज किनारा मिल जायेगा
परम सहारा मिल जायेगा
डोरी सौंप के तो देख एक बार,
उदास मन काहे को करे
तू निर्दोष तुझे क्या डर है
पग पग पर साथी ईश्वर है
जरा भावना से कीजिये पुकार
उदास मन काहे को करे
Do not worry unnecessarily, O devotee. Sri Raam will safely take you across the ocean of life.
Give your boat (of life) to the care of the Lord and it will be protected always. He will protect us and help to ease the weight (of our karma) too.
The flow of the currents is in His control, the oars of the boat are in His hand – you can now win or lose the game of life (depending on your faith in God).
If you are an innocent devotee, then why fear? Keep God as your companion and you will enjoy a divine experience in life.
You will be safely taken to the banks of this ocean (in His care). Surrender to Him and you will receive the greatest help possible.
