द्विज वेद पढ़े, सुविचार बढ़े बल पाय चढ़ें नित ऊपर को
अविरुद्ध रहें, ऋजु पन्थ गहें, परिवार कहें वसुधा-भर को
ध्रुव धर्म धरें, पर दुःख हरें, तन त्याग करें भवसागर को
दिन फेर पिता, वरदे सविता, करदे कविता, कवि शंकर को
विदुषी उपजें, क्षमता न तजें, व्रत धार भजें, सुकृती वर को
सधवा सुधरें, विधवा उबरें, सकलंक करें, न किसी घर को
दुहिता न बिकें, कुटनी न टिकें, कुलबोर छिकें, तरसें दर को
दिन फेर पिता, वरदे सविता, करदे कविता, कवि शंकर को
नृपनीति जगे, न अनीति ठगे, भ्रम-भूत लगे, न प्रजाधर को,
झगड़े न मचें, खल-खर्ब लचें, मद से न रचें, भट संगर को,
सुरभी न कटें, न अनाज घटें, सुख-भोग डटें, डपटें डर को,
दिन फेर पिता, वरदे सविता, करदे कविता, कवि शंकर को
महिमा उमड़े, लघुता न लड़े, जड़ता जकड़े, न चराचर को,
शठता सटके, मुदिता मटके, प्रतिभा भटके न समादर को,
विकसे विमला, शुभ कर्म-कला, पकड़े कमला, श्रम के कर को,
दिन फेर पिता, वरदे सविता, करदे कविता, कवि शंकर को
मत-जाल जलें, छलिया न छलें, कुल फूल फलें, तज मत्सर को,
अघ दम्भ दबें, न प्रपंच फबें, गुरु मान नबें, न निरक्षर को,
सुमरें जप से, निखरें तप से, सुर-पादप से, तुझ अक्षर को,

May the wise ones (twice-born) preach the Vedas and enable our upward advancement through good thoughts and action. May we follow the straight path and may all treat each other as a family by embracing Dharma and righteousness and looking out for each other.
May our endurance and honesty prevail, may the women be educated, and may the married women be wise and live wisely without unnecessary problems. May there be no maligning of women’s character and may women be respected, never be of ill-repute, and never be traded or sold. May our families never face disgrace or ruin.
May the leaders be free from corruption and may we be free from superstition. May we be free from domestic fights, free from corruption, free from drunkenness, free from fights, and illegality. May desires never overcome us and may we always have food and peacefulness of flora and fauna.
May we rise above selfishness and laziness. May we not be deceitful. May we be contented and talented. May ethics and integrity prevail in all our actions and may we be always earnest in our work. May our days be good and may we live in peace and austerity.
