एक खिलौना बन गया दुनिया के मेले में

मुस्कुरा कर भेंट हर स्वीकार करता हूँ

मैं बसाना चाहता हूँ स्वर्ग धरती पर
आदमी जिस में रहे बस आदमी बनकर
उस नगर की हर गली तैय्यार करता हूँ

हूँ बहुत नादान करता हूँ ये नादानी
बेच कर खुशियाँ खरीदूँ आँख का पानी
हाथ खाली हैं मगर व्यापार करता हूँ

This is the only crime I commit time and again. I am a human and love another human.
I became just another toy in the large fair of the world. Some play in a crowd and another plays in isolation. I accept every gift with a smile. I am a human and love another human.
I am innocent and perform this act of madness. In so doing, I sell my joys and purchase tears for my eyes. My palms are empty but I trade and I attain. I am a human and love another human.
On this earth, I wish to build a heaven. In which every human stays as human. Of that city, I am working toward. I am a human and love another human.
