मेरे देश की धरती, सोना उगले
उगले हीरे मोती
बैलों के गले में जब घुँघरू
जीवन का राग सुनाते हैं
गम कोसों दूर हो जाता है
खुशियों के कँवल मुसकाते हैं
सुन के रहट की आवाज़ें
यूँ लगे कहीं शहनाई बजे
आते ही मस्त बहारों के
दुल्हन की तरह हर खेत सजे
मेरे देश की धरती…
जब चलते हैं इस धरती पे हल
ममता अंगड़ाईयाँ लेती हैं
क्यों ना पूजें इस माटी को
जो जीवन का सुख देती है
इस धरती पे जिसने जनम लिया
उसने ही पाया प्यार तेरा
यहाँ अपना पराया कोई नहीं
है सब पे माँ, उपकार तेरा
मेरे देश की धरती…
ये बाग़ है गौतम नानक का
खिलते हैं अमन के फूल यहाँ
गांधी, सुभाष, टैगोर, तिलक
ऐसे हैं चमन के फूल यहाँ
रंग हरा हरी सिंह नलवे से
रंग लाल है लाल बहादूर से
रंग बना बसन्ती भगत सिंह
रंग अमन का वीर जवाहर से
मेरे देश की धरती…
The soil of my country is made of gold, diamonds, and pearls.
The bells around the necks of the bullocks chime to the melody of life. Sadness and regret go away, and joyous lotuses smile. The sounds of the waterwheels sound as if auspicious flutes are playing somewhere. Every field adorns itself like a bride when the thrill of spring arrives.
When plows till this land, the love of its mother is activated, Why would we not worship this soil that gives us the joy of life? Whoever was born on this land, obtained your love. Here there is no difference between a stranger and one of our own, for Mother, you are benevolent to all.
This is the garden of Bhudda and Guru Naanak, here bloom the flowers of peace. Gandhi, Subhash, Tagore, Tilak–these are the kinds of flowers of this garden. Its green color is from Hari Singh Nalwa , and its red color is from Lal Bahadur. The color became saffron with Bhagat Singh and the color of peace (white) is from the brave Jawaahar.
