In my mind and my body; in my very pores, I meditate on you (sumirle). Let us leave all work behind and chant the name of God.

We get entangled (uljha) in Maya and become like dust, flying loosely all over at the whims of the wind. Oh, what should I do, now that my mind is confused (man bhaaree)? Whenever I would be free from Maya, the day will still be lost. But, the time spent in chanting God’s name is not lost.

The body with its five principal senses actually robs us of good stead because we become overly occupied with satisfying the senses. We become surrounded by kaam, krodh, madh, lobh and moha (passion, anger, lust, greed, and false pride) and we forget to chant the name of God – also, we forget the work of worship (poojaa
kaa kaam
).

Your childhood was spent in play; your adolescence was spent in sleep. When old age approaches then you start to think about what was gained and what was lost. Still, it is not too late, O friend. From now make an effort to take God’s name to heart.
