इन पैरों से चलकर तेरे मंदिर कभी ना आया,
जहाँ जहाँ हो पूजा तेरी,कभी ना शीश झुकाया
हे हरिहर मई हार के आया,अब क्या हार चढाउँ,

O holy Almighty God, I feel so very ashamed to come to your door with an unclean mind that is covered with the accumulation of my sinful choices of life.
You sent me to the world giving me a human body and a pure and fresh start. And, I came here and stained and soiled that clean and pure life you gave me. Over lifetimes, I accumulated a lifetime of dirt/sins. Oh, how can I clean it all?
The beautiful voice you gave me Lord, unfortunately, I never used that voice to sing your praises. I never closed my eyes in meditation as I continued to focus on the allure of the world, and, I lost the true value of my mind and my voice. What song can I now sing?
I never used my feet to go to mandir and places of worship. Wherever you are worshipped I never bowed my head in reverence and prayer. O Almighty One, I come defeated and burdened with my sins. What can I do?
