यहाँ सुख से सो गुणी पीर देखि, एक हँसता…
दो एक सुखी यहाँ लाखो में
आँसू है करोडो आँखों के
हमने गिन गिन हर तक़दीर देखि, एक हँसता …
कुछ बोल प्रभु ये क्या माया
तेरा खेल समझ में न आया
हमने देखे महल बे कुटीर देखि, एक हँसता …
I saw a very strange picture of God’s stupendous creation. In this picture, one person was smiling, and ten were crying.
In this picture, pain exceeded joy beyond reckoning there were few smiling faces but thousands of sad faces.
We counted the fortunes of millions of people. We saw a few happy, while tens of thousands had tears in their eyes.
Tell me, God, what Maayaa is this? Is this Delusion or Reality? I fail to understand Your Drama in which one can see the horrendous contrast between palaces and huts, between affluence and poverty.
