हे दयामय हम सबो को शुद्धताई दीजिये
दूर करके हर बुराई को भलाई दीजिये
हो उजाला सबके मन में ज्ञान के सुप्रकाश से
और अँधेरा दूर सारा हो अविद्या-नाश से
खोते कर्मो से बचें और तेरे गुण गाये सभी
छूट जाए दुःख सारे सुख सदा पायी सभी
सारी विद्याओ को सीखे ज्ञान से भरपूर हो
शुभ कर्मो में होव तत्पर सारे दुर्गुण दूर हो
अच्छी सांगत में रहें और वेद-मार्ग पर चले
तेरे ही होव उपासक और कुकर्म से बचे

O Merciful One, bestow purity upon us all. Take away every vice and give us goodness instead.
Let light shine in everyone’s mind through the radiance of learning, and let the darkness be consequently dispelled.
Let us be saved from evil deeds, and let us recount Your good qualities. Let all pain and misery vanish and let all attain joy.
Let everyone acquire various branches o knowledge and be adept, and let all be ever ready to do auspicious works, thereby eradicating all vicious qualities.
May we continually remain in virtuous company, follow the path of the Veda, and in Your constant worship, save ourselves from sin.
