कुछ लोग जो ज़्यादा जानते हैं, इन्सान को कम पहचानते हैं
ये पूरब है पूरबवाले, हर जान की कीमत जानते हैं
मिल जुल के रहो और प्यार करो, एक चीज़ यही जो रहती है
हम उस देश के…
जो जिससे मिला सिखा हमने, गैरों को भी अपनाया हमने
मतलब के लिये अन्धे होकर, रोटी को नहीं पूजा हमने
अब हम तो क्या सारी दुनिया, सारी दुनिया से कहती है
हम उस देश के…
Truth lives on our lips and purity lives in the heart. We are the inhabitants of that country of truth and cleanliness – the country in which the Ganges flow.
Our guests are dearer to us than life. We are satisfied with a little for our livelihood without being greedy. And our mother Earth has tolerated her children for centuries, in this country where the Ganges flow.
Whereas some people know a lot but cannot empathize with others, we of the East know the very value of life. We live together and love one another. One thing is known by all, we are the inhabitants of the country in which the Ganges flow.
We have taught everyone we met, we accepted outsiders as our own. We are not blinded by selfishness. We are not slaves to desires. To the whole world, we say, we are inhabitants of this country in which the Ganges flow.
