Aisaa pyaar bahaa de maiyaa,
charaṇo se laga jaaoo mai.
Sab andhkaar miṭaa de maiyaa
Daras teraa kar paaoo mai.
Jab mai aakar jag ko maiyaa,
ab tak na mai pahchaan sakaa.
Kyoo aayaa hoo kahaa hai jaanaa
Ye bhee naa mai jaan sakaa.
Too hai agam agochar maiyaa
Kaho kaise lakh paaoo mai
Kar kripaa jagadambe bhavaanee,
mai baalak naadaan hoo.
Nahee aaraadhana japa tapa jaanoo,
mai avaguṇ kee khaan hoo
De aisa vardaan he maiyaa,
Sumiran teraa gaaoo mai.
Mai baalak too maayaa meree,
niṣhdin teree oaṭ hai
Teree kripaa se hee miṭegee
bheetar jo bhee khoaṭ hai
Sharaṇ lagaa lo mujh ko maiyaa
Tujhpe bali mali jaaoo mai.
Give me your Love, O Mother as I go through the steps of life. Dispel all darkness, O Mother.
Into this world I came which is of Your creation, up until now I have been unable to recognize Thee. Why have I come here where do I go? These I do not know, what I do know is that You are the first and foremost. Tell me Mother, how can I experience Thy glory?
Bestow Thy grace, O Jagadambe Bhavaani, I am Thy innocent child, unfortunate, for I am ignorant of prayers, japa, and tapa. Bless me with Thy gift that I may constantly experience Thee.
I am the child and you are my Mother, every day is of Thy creation. By Your grace and mercy, all my desires are fulfilled. I surrender myself to Thy lotus feet. Bestow Thy blessings on me Mother.
