Bhaarat kee ik brahmacharee kee
ham kathaa sunaate hȧi
Yogee aur parupkaaree kee,
ham kathaa sunaate hȧi
Ghar baar Riṣhi ne chhoraa,
Eeshvar se naataa joraa
Dhan daulat kaa moh bhee tyaagaa,
grihasth se mukh moṛaa
Chhoo aa chhooṭ thee bhaaree,
vidhvaa kee aaho zaaree
Kaṭtee thee gaav bechaaree
Is desh me dekh
Dekh dashaa Bhaarat kee
nayan bhar aate hai
Saare paakhand mitaa ke,
ved kaa naad bajaa ke
Nagar nagar prachaar kiyaa thaa,
eet aur patthar khaa ke
Chhoo-aa-chhoot miṭaaee
Sandhyaa karnee sikhaaee,
pyaare Riṣhi var kee
Kar yaad Rishi up kaaro ko
ham sab guṇ gaate hai
Let us now listen to the story of a great celibate from India, that great Yogi and benefactor of mankind, Maharishi Dayanand Sarasvati.
As a boy, the Rishi abandoned wealth, home, relationships, and attachment. His sacrifice resulted in helping the world and in relieving the pain of society that was bringing tears to Mother India and the world.
Give up any hypocrisy and follow the teaching of the Rishi. Replay and preach the message of the Vedas in every home and community. Sacrifice your comfort and food if you have to, after all, the beloved Maharishi taught us how to pray. We should always sing his praises and spread the message of the Vedas.
