Bin bhajan ke jagat mè to praṇee
Mùh dikhaane ke kaabil nahèè hai
Kyaa kyaa waadaa prabhu se kiyaa thaa
Bhool kar bhee na naam liyaa thaa
Bhool baiṭhaa hai maayaa mè phas ke
Vo bulaane ke kaabil nahèè hai
Tune kinhee naa nek kamaaee
Teree hove naa jag mè bhalaaee
Teree phas rahee bhàvar mè hai naiyaa
Paar jaane ke kaabil nahèè hai
Teree sààso kee anmol motee
Bikar jaayenge jaane kahaa par
Bin guru niguraa ban ke ḍole
Paas biṭhaane ke kaabil nahèè hai
How can we face the world if we do not give homage to God by singing his praises?
Have you forgotten your promise to God to remember his name? Have you become entrapped in the illusions of this world that you forget to call on God?
If you do not perform good actions, then you cannot enjoy the good rewards. When you are trapped in midstream of this river of life how can you get across without his help?
When you are gone from this world, no one would remember you if there is no good to remember you by. If you act like someone who refuses to learn from a teacher how can you learn to get out of the whirlpools of life?
