Chingari koi bhaṛke to saawan use bujhaaye
Saawan jo agan lagaaye use kaun bujhaaye
Patjhaṛ jo baag ujaaṛe, woh baag bahaar khilaaye
Jo baag bahaar mè ujṛe, use kaun khilaaye
Humse mat poochho kaise, Mandir ṭooṭa sapnò kaa
Logò kee baat nahèè hai, Yeh kissa hai apno ka
Koi dushman ṭhes lagaaye, to meet jiyaa behlaaye
Man meet jo ghaav lagaaye, Use kaun mitaaye?
Na jaane kya ho jaatas, Jaane hum kya kar jaate
Peetè hài to zinda hài, naa peete to mar jaate
Duniyaa jo pyasa rakkhe, to madira pyaas bujhaaye
Madira jo pyaas lagaye, Use kaun bujhaaye
Maana toofàà ke aage. nahee chalta, jor kisee ka
Maujò kaa doṣh nehee hài, ye doṣh he aur kisi ka
Majhdhaar mè naiya ḍole, to mààjhee paar lagaye
Mààjhee jo naav duḍòye, use kaun bachaaye
A spark can be extinguished by the rain; but when the rain storm lights a fire, who can ever quench it? When the autumn season dries a garden, the spring season would follow and bring it to life; but when the garden is destroyed by the spring season, how can it ever grow again?
Do not query as to why the temple of dreams has broken down. The sad story behind is no one’s other than my own. Oh, when an enemy strikes a blow, then a friend can cheer me up, but when a soulmate deals that blow, who will cause it to heal?
I do not know what to do or where to go. When I feel as though the imbibing gives me life and without it, there seems to be no life. When one is thirsty for wine, then wine can quench, but if the wine creates the thirst, who will quench it?
We all know that no one may be strong to face a storm. Waves are not to be blamed if someone dares to show a bluff. If one is midstream and his boat quivers, then the pilot can steer it ashore. But if the pilot sinks the ship, who shall bring it ashore?
