Dayaa kar daan vidyaa kaa, hame paramaatmaa denaa,
Daya karanaa hamaaree aatma mè, shuddhataa denaa
Hamaare dhyaan mè aao, prabhu ààkhò mè bas jao,
Andhere dil mè aakar ke, prabhu jyoti jagaa denaa
Bahaa do prem kee gangaa, dilò mè prem kaa saagar,
Hame aapas mè mil-jul ke, prabhu rahana sikha denaa
Hamaara dharm ho sevaa, hamaara karm ho sevaa,
Sadaa eeman ho sevaa, wa sevak jan banaa denaa
Vatan ke vaaste jeenaa, vatan ke vaste maranaa,
Vatan pe jaan fidaa karanaa, prabhu hamako sikhaa denaa
O God, give us knowledge, Grant us abundant spirit. Have mercy on us, Lord, and inspire purity in our souls.
Come into our meditations and make our eyes Your place of residence, so that we can think and see in divinity. Shed your bright Light in our dark hearts.
Let the holy stream of your love flow in our hearts, and teach us to live in unity and love.
Service is our religion, our action, and our character. Make us the most dedicated servants of fellow human beings.
Teach us to live and die for the values of our country, and to love our fellow citizens.
