Mehelo mė naheė kuṭiyȯ mė

Mehelo mė naheė kuṭiyȯ mė naheė
Jangalo mė naheė, bangalo mė naheė
Jahaa prem karo bhagavaan vahee

Man maahee japo uskee maalaa
sab jaanat hai jaanane vaalaa
Jantar mė naheė mantar mė naheė,
antar mė naheė tantar me nahee
Jahaa prem karo…

Tajkar me ve Duryodhan kee
mehmaan bane ik nirdhan kee
Raajo mė naheė, taajo mė naheė
saajo mė naheė, baajo mė naheė
Jahaa prem karo..

Kyȯ kaashee mathuraa jaate ho
ghaṭ teerath mė na nahaate ho
Gangaa mė naheė, Jamunaa mė naheė,
Mandir mė naheė teertho mė naheė
Jahaa prem karo …

Ai ‘Sewak’ too sachche man se,
kar prem prabhoo ke charaṇan se
Hai Vedo kaa updesh yahee,
hai Geetaa kaa sandesh yahee
Jahaa prem karo …

Do not focus on possessions, God will not be realized in the material things. Neither palaces nor cottages; neither in the jungles nor in the houses. Indeed, our God is wherever you can give love. Wherever you show your loving nature, there is where God is.

Continue your japa in your mind. Focus your mind on his worship instead of the object of worship. Chant his name instead of spinning your rosary without focus. Neither the amulets nor magic words, neither potions nor witchcraft; these lead us astray. Indeed, wherever you show your loving nature, there is where God is.

Give up and sacrifice the path of evil (the path of Duryodhan). Seek good company instead of the company of the powerful and arrogant. He is neither in the palaces and presidential houses nor in the monuments, He is neither in the instruments nor in the sounds of the instruments, he is the emotive love – indeed wherever you show your loving nature, there is where God is.

Why focus on pilgrimage to holy sites when God is where you are? He is not just in the holy rivers like Ganges and Yamuna, not just in the temples and places of worship, – indeed wherever you show your loving nature, there is where God is.

Tune – jahaa yaad karo bhagawaan wahee
