Om Om bol

Om Om bol, Om om bol
Om Om bol, Om om bol
Kaheė pe naa ḍol, Om om bol
Man mandir mė jaap karle

Mat naa bhaṭke mathuraa kaashee
Ghaṭ mė basaa tere vo avinaashee
Uskaa ghaṭ mė too dhyaan dhar le

Tark vitark se bhee naa jaanaa jaataa
Adhik vidvitaa se bhee koee naa paataa
Uskaa ghaṭ mė too dhyaan dhar le

Anaasaktee mė le kar ke mastee
Yam niyamȯ kee banaakar too kishtee
Bhav saagar ko paar karle

“Premsingh” chal kapaṭ chhoṛ ke
Param pitaa se preetee joṛ ke
Apne lakshya kee aor baṛh le

Just chant “Om, Om, Om,” let the sacred sound roll,
Don’t wander or waver, just chant “Om, Om, Om.”
In the temple of your mind, let this prayer be your goal.

Don’t stray to the cities, to temples of stone,
The One who’s eternal has made you His home.
Just look deep inside you and find Him right there,
And focus your mind on His presence in prayer.

He is not understood by a logical mind,
The greatest of scholars will leave Him behind.
He’s known when you seek Him inside your own soul,
So focus within you and make your heart whole.

Find joy in detachment, a freedom so vast,
With discipline’s boat, make your anchor hold fast.
This ocean of life, you can cross it with ease,
If you sail on the winds of your spiritual peace.

Let go of deceit, let all cunning depart,
And join with the Father, connecting your heart.
As ‘Premsingh’ has told you, just walk on God’s way,
And move toward your purpose, today and each day.

– meaning rendered by Dr Yog Mahadeo.

Chant and sing Om Om Om. Let us immerse ourselves in the chant of Om. Whoever you are, wherever you go, keep on chanting Om in the temple of your mind. Silently chant Om, Om, Om.

Do not let strife and places of strife and conflict overcome you. And, do not let the lack of access to places of pilgrimage make you depressed or sad. Remember that these places of pilgrimage may be out of reach, but the All-Pervading and Eternal One is within you, within your reach – wherever you are. Contemplate and meditate on Him in your inner sanctum of bliss.

Avoid loud arguments and disagreements – whether they are about logic or illogic or about knowledge or prayers – agreements and disagreements will not bring us close to God. Only our constant contemplation on Om, His name; only our constant meditation on Om in your inner sanctum of bliss can bring us close to Him.

The material attractions and possessions of this life will not get us closer to God. In fact, our attachment to these material things affects our closeness to God because we think of these attachments instead of God. Do not let attachment and material things overcome your mind and your life. Be detached and live your life with morality and self-discipline.

Let us try to abandon inclinations toward deceit and delusion. Give up the false attachment to things and give up any urge towards immoral acquisition of things. Instead, let us focus on our spiritual goals in life through love and adoration for the Supreme One. Always remember to contemplate and meditate on Om.
