Pyaaraa rishivar pyaaraa

Yaad unkee sadaa ye meharbaanee rahe…

Satyaasatya ko tulaa par thaa tolaa,
lupta thaa veda kaa bhed kholaa
De gayaa grantha khaas, hamė satyaarth prakaash
Mere peeche na koee pareshaanee rahe…

Raat ko bhee na nidraa mė soyaa,
deen dukhiyȯ ke duhkh mė thaa royaa
Thee riṣhi kee purkaar, mėṭ dȯȯ andhkaar
Jag mė kuchh din kee jo meree zindagaanee rahe…

Chheen lee hȧi kyȯ deevaalee ne jyoti,
laakhȯ motee naheė aisaa motee
Kar gaye hȧi jo kaam, rahe ‘vrijpaal’ naam
Gangaa yamunaa mė jab tak ye paanee rahe…

The Vedas are immortal and they will always be in the world, and, as immortal as the Vedas are, so too will be the story and work of Maharishi Swami Dayanand Saraswati. This story of the great Maharishi, our beloved Maharishi will always be sung.

Humanity is indebted to Maharishi Dayanand. The debt is so huge that even after multiple lifetimes, we cannot repay it. May we always remember his kindness, sacrifices, and work to liberate us.

The Maharishi showed us the unblemished truth. He revealed the secret of the Vedas, which had been lost to the world. He gave us his Satyarth Prakash. No ignorance or troubles can accompany or follow us if we study this great work of the Maharishi.

The great soul sacrificed his life for us all. He shed tears at the plight of the world and gave us comfort and rest so that he could liberate us. He taught us to remove darkness from our lives, even if we have just a short time remaining.

Oh, why did Diwali snatch away this magnificent light of the world? Any other pearls could have been taken, but this one! The magnitude of work of the Maharishi will remain as eternal as long as the immortal Ganges and Yamuna rivers have waters flowing in them.
