हे जगत पिता भगवान

O Lord, O Almighty Father of the Universe, You are our Loving Lord, our sole supporter and sustainer; please bless me with knowledge and wisdom.

O Lord, during my childhood, I was blissfully unaware of right and wrong, and I was even unaware of my true consciousness. And, as I grew up, Lord, I plunged into sinful thoughts and actions. I became immersed in worldly pleasures. O Almighty Lord, where do I go now? These material desires are overcoming me.

My heart tells me that you reside in the innermost shrine of my inner self. What a fool I have been to roam about from door to door looking for you, when you are right in my inner self, present as my guide.

Save me from sins, O Lord, and make me a true follower of the Vedas, and grant me Vedic wisdom so that I can free myself from falsehood, hypocrisy, and superstition.

O Master, O Almighty God, even though my life was immersed in the ocean of life, you are my saviour, my shelter. Please save me, Lord. Please bless me with wisdom to rise above the illusions of this life.
